Comfort and Your Home Gym:  How to Choose Fitness Equipment that Fits Your Lifestyle

Comfort is a major consideration when setting up your home gym.  How else can you perform your workout routines effectively?  If there are things that prevent you from moving or for the machine to work properly, you’ll only be wasting your time.  Furthermore, if you design your home gym with comfort in mind, it will be healthier for you.  Here are some things you should consider when building your own home gym:

Your vital statistics

Your weight and height will directly affect how well you will be able to perform on your home gym equipment.  If the equipment will require you to be seated while performing the exercises, then your height shouldn’t be a concern.  A rowing machine or ab roller, for example, will require mostly horizontal space but will help you lose weight.   Treadmills will also elevate you just a few inches off the floor.  They won’t present much of a problem even if you exercised in a room with low ceilings.

A free book worth the read

With the recession going on strong, where can anyone find a good read and get inspired for free?

My friends Rick Barrett and Joe Vitale have co-authored a book called Give to live. It is a free e-book about the power of giving. You can get it here for free at: http://www.givetolivebook.com/

I find it a great complement to the book and movie “The secret” as it reminds us that money might feel empty if it does not carry a higher purpose.

Do you want another great reason to read this book: I am in it!
